"Universalist, Relativist, And Constructivist Approaches To Intercultural Ethics"

The main points of this article are looking at the three approaches to the problem of how intercultural dialogue on ethics can e effectively conducted amongst those who embrace different cultural beliefs and values. The three points are Universalist, Relativist and Constructivist, the latter is what the article argues more towards. The article begins with looking at both Universalist and Relativist and then develops to specifically look at the constructivist approach. One of the main points focused on is that of an adequate framework for intercultural dialogue on ethics is provided not by universalist or relativist approaches, and proposed an alternative constructive approach which maintains that since the norms take with them a cross-cultural encounters tell them how to deal with people from their own cultural back ground and not with people from other cultures whose norms are different.

This article would benefit those whose interests are in intercultural relations from an international point of view or who are studying it at University. It bring sup various points which benefit the reader into a greater understanding of the topics, all three angle are looked at, universalist, relativist and constructivist. It could also be aimed at people who want to look at it in depth from the universalist or relativist approach as this is concentrated on the constructivist approach.

I don’t find much wrong with this article at all, the only thing I could see as an issue is that it wouldn’t appeal to everyone and if someone who was reading it but didn’t have a great interest in it wouldn’t appreciate the information conveyed throughout the piece of writing. Other than that I can’t see much else but I may notice something at a later date.
